Those of you who know me won't be surprised by this...
My Rollyo: Searchable Buffy
Yes, I am a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan! ;) I recommend trying a search for "Martha Stewart" or "librarian" to see some fun results.

Week 5, Thing #11
The Web 2.0 Awards serve as a great resource for online tools... I already use quite a few of them, but thanks to this list, I just started using a new one:
Wayfaring - A friend and I are planning to travel to Europe this summer and while our day-by-day itinerary, we needed a way to group our stops for each city by their proximity to one another. I had spotted Wayfaring when checking the Web 2.0 list at work the other day, and it worked perfectly! We created a map for each city we're visiting and listed all the places we want to visit on each one. It was easy to do and so handy. I can see this being extremely useful for other vacations as well, and also as a fun way to keep track of places I've been.
And here's a list of some of the other Web 2.0 sites I've been using for a while:
Writely - This is a great way to save documents online and be able to access them from a variety of locations. An excellent resource to recommend to customers if they don't have a disc to save to and don't want to purchase one.
Meebo - Gives you the ability to log into many different IM programs from one window (and you don't have to install any extra software on your computer).
YouSentIt - Very handy for filesharing.
Last.fm - One of my favorites! Install a plug-in and it'll build your music library and keep track of what you play on iTunes.
Flickr - We already know I use and love this one.
Threadless - Witty and (relatively) inexpensive t-shirts with designs submitted by users.
MySpace - Pretty much everyone is on here...
Del.icio.us - Mark and tag your favorite websites and share with others.
YouTube - Allows you to view a huge variety of user-provided videos, and share your own.

Week 5, Thing #10
Online image generators have always been a fun thing... just look and see:

from Giant Cookie Generator

from Catalog Card Generator
And because I couldn't resist, here's a fun link for a non-image generator.

Week 4, Things #8-9
I recently started discovering RSS feeds on my own at home. I use Google Reader to visit the various sites I surf for news, and I have to say, it's so much easier than trying to visit 10+ sites individually. Now all I have to do is visit my Google Reader account and all the news is there! It saves me time and it's vastly more convenient. So, in short, I love RSS feeds!
To complete my Learning 2.0 requirements, I did sign up for a Bloglines account as well, and am mostly using it to subscribe to the blogs of other participants, as well as some of those recommended, i.e. Mercury News, Reader's Club, and of course, our own Learning 2.0 feed. I also found a couple of interesting feeds on Technorati: The Shifted Librarian and Tame the Web.
Anyways, you can see all of the ones I've subscribed to on my blogroll on the left, or check out my Bloglines page here.
